HOUSE/YEAR: Hufflepuff- Ana is an oddball. She has a very well rounded personality so it was hard for the sorting hat to place her in the correct house. But after a second of thought, it chose Hufflepuff.

PERSONALITY:
Anastasia Whitby refuses to go by Anastasia. She thinks it is too glamorous, too princessy for her. Her friends and family call her Ana or Anny. She gets her energy from the people around her. Ana definitely is a people person. She loves to hear their problems and offer them her advice. If words fail her, which they sometimes to, she is always open to offer her shoulder to cry on. She does not crave to be the center of attention, but she doesn't shy away from the spotlight. She uses it wisely, as a way to broadcast her opinions. School is very important to her. She always strives to do her best and get good marks. She is the perfect study-buddy because she is not a know-it-all and she knows this. She makes mistakes, often infact. She is extremely clumsy and is always injuring herself one way or another.

Ana loves the arts. She spends most of her time writting stories or poems, singing, or playing her guitar or the piano. She also likes to draw. Her favorite things to sketch are the people around her and the scenery outside. Her mother coached her in her music lessions and they share the same passion. She wishes she could jump into her stories and live her characters perfect lives. She wishes she had confidence. Everytime she looks in the mirror, she is not satisfied. She looks at her friends around her and secretly envies them, slightly. She is the most unselfish person anyone will ever meet and is always willing to help her friends out anyway she can.


FAMILY: Jessica Pelton and Kevin Whitby. Jessica lives in Texas and Kevin lives in London. Ana and her sister's holidays are divided into who they are going to spend them with. Her parents are seperated, not yet quite divorced. Ana looks up to her mother and admires her father. She finds she has more incommon with him. Her mother is kind of irresponsible and Ana ends up taking care of her instead of her taking vare of Ana, especially after she has had one of her huge break ups with some stupid guy she met in a bar a few months before. Her dad is very easy going, but watches out for her. He is very cautious about the boys she dates, convinced no one is good enough for his baby girls.

HISTORY: Jessica Pelton (a muggle) and Kevin Whitby ( a well-known wizard who had just completed his seven years at Hogwarts a few months before) met at a fair in Southern Texas. Kevin was traveling the world with a group of friends, seeing all there is to see and Jessica was on break from College. Kevin, being from London, was wide-eyed and amazed by America. Jessica was relieved to finally be done with her final exams and craved a night out with the girls.

They met on the faris wheel. Kevin was stunned by Jessica's flawless beauty. He slyly struck up a conversation and she was immediately hooked. It was love at first sight. He bought her a hotdog and a cotton candy stick and a relationship sparked from there. They were married three months later. Kevin's parents were cautious, but trusted his judgement. Jessica's parents knew she often made split second decisions, and they warned her that she had made the worst mistake of her life. They did not like Kevin and his mysterious ways. After the wedding, Kevin thought it would be the right time to spill his secret to her. He informed the muggle that he was a wizard. At first she thought he was insane. She was half tempted to make him get a catskan, but after much demonstrating, she finally believed him. From the outside apperance she made it look like she had accepted her new husbands talent, but on the inside she was very uneasy. Their marriage was dangling by a string when Jessica learned she was pregnant. Kevin and Jess decided to stick together, that it would be better for the baby.

On November 18, Anastasia was born. She had brought the Whitby's extreamly close together and there was no threat of seperation anylonger. But as the years pasted, things got harder. Ana now had a little sister and two parents who could never agree. Jessica began working longer hours at work and Kevin had to take care of his daughters. Despite her parental problems, Ana was a great baby. She did cry a lot, but what baby doesn't, especially when it's parents are screaming their heads off. Her and her sister grew very close to each other in these hard times. Eventually Kevin and Jessica just gave up. They decided to seperate. Kevin returned to London, Jess returned to Texas. To this day, they still haven't officially divorced eachother. Ana suspects that they still love each other deep down inside. She wished they would just look past their differences and be the one big happy family she has always dreamed of.

Leaving her homes for Hogwarts made things a little easier. Ana was sorted into Hufflepuff where her love for people flurished. She loved school. Recieving some of the top marks in her class, she excelled with ease. Everything came natural to Ana, even Quidditch, which she didn't play, but loved to watch. Not many people know about her talent in Quidditch, but anyone who sits next to her during the games knows she knows her stuff. The only thing she had trouble with was trusting the opposite sex. She had learned the mistakes of her parents and has sworn not to repeat them.

PHYSICAL: Ana is tall and dangly. She has her fathers brown eyes and his dark blonde/brown hair. Deep inside her eyes is the sense of pain, of distrust, and of compassion. She has perfect teeth and a marvelous smile. She has a tiny scar on her left eyebrow where she fell out of a tree when she was nine.
